Emerging Leaders: This opportunity is aimed at those in middle management positions with supervisory responsibilities who have an interest in filling a leadership position.
This group stems from concerns of young people not entering the human services workforce, as well as the concern of the loss of institutional knowledge stemming from the retirement of the ‘baby boomer’ generation (as cited in the Providers’ Council/Donahue Institute report Help Wanted 2). The need for leadership during and after this transition is crucial to the future of our industry. The Emerging Leaders roundtable is a natural continuation of the Council’s commitment to workforce development.
Finance: This quarterly roundtable is for CFOs, business managers and others with financial responsibilities at provider organizations. Topics recently discussed include: funding diversification, facilities maintenance and insurance.
Human Resources: This roundtable is for Human Resources Directors or Managers at provider organizations. This group meets every other month and is an opportunity for people with HR responsibilities in provider organizations to network with their peers and share knowledge. Recently addressed topics include: training collaboration, recruitment strategies and employee benefits.

The format and agenda of these roundtables are determined by YOU - the participants. We hope to host presenters either from within the group or guest speakers to address the issues most important to you. We’ll leave plenty of time for discussion, as you and your colleagues can serve as your own best resources!
