PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

On-going, constructive dialogue between employee and manager is an essential element of successful performance management. Performance management aligns your organization’s objectives and values with individual performance expectations. It includes communicating performance expectations to all employees, ensuring organizational objectives are met, and meaningfully evaluating employee performance. This session will enhance you ability to: prepare and monitor well-written performance objectives; offer appropriate performance coaching and feedback to your staff, and conduct productive performance evaluations.

At the completion of this workshop participants will be able to:

  • Describe the components of the performance management cycle
  • Translate organizational goals into SMART performance objectives
  • Communicate objectives to employees of diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Use coaching and feedback techniques to promote high quality performance
  • Recognize effective performance evaluation practices
