Feb. 6: The Providers’ Council urges its members to run active voter registration and “get out the vote” efforts. First, as citizens it is one of our greatest privileges. Voting builds caring communities. We also operate in a political environment and our sector employs close to 100,000 people. It is critical that clients/consumers, family members, board members, and other interested parties, are made aware of this campaign and given every possible opportunity to register. Legislators respond to their registered constituents. We want them to know that human service professionals are registered and that we vote. For more information contact: mripple@providers.org
