Rally at the State House to Restore Salary Reserve

Rally at the State House December 6, 2006

The Five Point Agenda for Human Service Reform was created to guide the public policy efforts of the Providers'  Council and is integral to the strategic plan of the Council. The work and objectives of the Committees of the Council, including the Ad Ho Committees, are all driven by the Five Point Agenda. It is intended to improve the quality of services delivered by home and community-based providers, to create the changes needed in the oversight and regulatory environment and to develop our workforce. One in ten residents of the Commonwealth receive care from community-based human service providers.

A summary of the Five Point Agenda follows:

  1. Promote Workforce Development
  2. Implement POS Reform
  3. Accelerate the Closure and Consolidation of Institutions
  4. Consolidate Monitoring and Evaluation Process
  5. Enhance Home and Community-Based Services
